The Work That Reconnects is the powerful experiential process developed by Joanna and her
colleagues in working with international groups over the years. Its purpose is
to empower us to reclaim those connections that are our birthright, but which,
in our society, binomo have been all but forgotten: our connection to the Earth, to the
web of life, to community, and to ourselves.
The Great Turning is a name for the essential adventure of our time:
the shift from the industrial growth society to a life-sustaining
civilization. A revolution is now underway because people are realizing that
our needs can be met without destroying our world.
Although we cannot know yet if this turning will take hold in time for
humans and other complex life forms to survive, it is proceeding. And it
is gaining momentum, through the actions of countless individuals and
groups around the world. Future generations, if there is to be a livable
world for them, will look back at the epochal transition we are making
to a life-sustaining society. To see this as the larger context of our
lives clears our vision and summons our courage.

The weekend, the first phase of the retreat, is available to a
limited number of non-residential participants. NOTE that this weekend workshop is
included in the above June 20-24 event. It is not necessary to register for
both separately.

Registration

Event Fees
Workshop fees are on a sliding scale, which allows participants binomo demo account to pay according to
their financial means. There are three rates, Low, Mid and High, with some scholarships
available (see below). The Low rate covers most of our costs; the High rate covers our
costs and includes a small donation towards our scholarship fund to help subsidize those
less able to pay. The deposit is included in all of our rates.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel. For cancellations
received 30 days or more before the event, your registration fee will be refunded,
less a $50 administration fee. For cancellations received 14 days or more prior to
the event, a 50% refund will be made, with no refunds later than 14 days before the
event.
Scholarships
If cost is an obstacle to your participation, a limited number of partial
scholarships will be available, thanks to the generous donations of those who
choose the High fee rate. Each scholarship application is carefully considered
in terms of financial need and funds available. Due to limited resources, we
cannot guarantee that every application will result in a scholarship. Please be
assured, however, that we will do our best to help you attend the workshop.
Please print off and complete the scholarship application (click here; MS Word format),
and send it with your registration form and refundable deposit of $100 to Sacred
Wisdom Centre (address below).
Deposit
When paying online or by mail, you have the option of paying the full amount
or a deposit. If you choose to pay a deposit, please remit the balance by
June 5, 2009.
