On Saturday, February 22, 2014, John Buttars creatively facilitated a challenging series of conversations following his previous talks “Seeking to Live Faithfully in a Time of Religious Upheaval”. The 26 participants shared their personal perspectives in small groups while John introduced the topics with more stories from his own life experiences and deep soul searching on these issues. He invited us to imagine the church on a “brown rice cleanse” to establish the most essential nourishment to engender humility and humanity like Jesus did. The event was held at Dublin United Church for a fee of $20.00. John donated the proceeds of this work to promote Sacred Wisdom Centre’s contribution to Guelph. For this support we are exceedingly grateful.
